DeleteSuch a beautiful array of goodies. I made nothing! I'll be making something sweet for my husband's birthday in February, but normally I just don't bake, unless it's yeasted bread. Partially because there are no kids here anymore.
ReplyDeleteHi Mimi, we don't bake a lot these days, but we always enjoy thinking about it. :-) Thanks for the comment.

DeleteSo much wonderful baking to be had here - and happily for me - it is winter in Minnesota and the baking doesn't stop after Christmas. I am eyeing those breads. I concur on the French Toast and the meringues in strawberry sauce are the perfect break from heavy eating. Wishing you all the best in 2019 and beyond.

DeleteThis post sparked lots of foodie holiday memories. First of all, I made baking powder biscuits this morning! Zabiglione was one of the first desserts I made for my new in-laws (back in the day), and Pfeffernüsse always reminds me of spending a couple of very special holidays at Big Cedar Lodge. (They used to leave these in the rooms...don't know if they still do.) HAPPY HOLIDAYS! Thanks for the list of goodies!
ReplyDeleteHi Debra, delighted to spark some happy memories! Thanks for the comment, and Happy Holidays!
DeleteI could go for one of these cookies right now, already poured the tea. I've enjoyed all my visits in 2018, looking forward to 2019. Happy New Year.

DeleteGosh, that Chocolate Fudge with Nutella sure looks good. It's obvious you've been blogging a long time, with your posts going back to 2011. I note that Mimi says she doesn't bake any ore since "there are no kids around anymore." I'm in the same situation, however I still bake because the food tastes so good. Unfortunately, the weight continues to pile on!
ReplyDeleteHi Fran, we're basically kids, so baking still works for us. Sometimes. :-) Thanks for the comment, and Happy Holidays!
DeleteJust wanted to stop back by to with you both a very Healthy and Happy New Year.
ReplyDeleteHi Karen, thanks! And same to the two of you. :-)
